Menstrual Health Awareness Session in Delhi

Women Learned About Menstrual Health

CBN Foundation, in collaboration with Pinkishe, recently conducted a Menstrual Health Awareness session for women in Chandan Hola, Delhi, with the aim of promoting a better understanding of menstrual health and hygiene while encouraging open conversations surrounding women’s overall well-being.

Around forty women participated in the session and learned key aspects of menstrual health such as hygiene practices and the importance of proper menstrual care, including nutrition and movement.

As conversations around menstrual health continue to grow globally through initiatives like Menstrual Hygiene Day, community-level awareness sessions remain equally important in helping women access accurate information, support, and dignity.

Breaking Myths and Stigma

The session created a safe and open space for women to ask questions, share experiences, and discuss challenges related to menstrual health. Moreover, the session placed emphasis on breaking myths and stigmas surrounding menstruation and creating a meaningful sense of shared community among women.

Many women unfortunately grow up with limited access to information and resources regarding menstrual health and proper care, along with social stigmas. This can often lead to feelings of anxiety, discomfort, or isolation.

Supporting Women’s Well-being

By creating safe spaces for open conversations, sessions like these help women feel seen, informed, and supported during times of confusion, frustration, or even shame. Understanding their bodies allows women to approach menstruation with greater confidence and self-awareness, positively influencing self-esteem and emotional well-being.

Menstrual health awareness also plays an important role in empowering women to lead healthier and more productive lives. When women are equipped with the right information, resources, and supportive communities, they are better able to care for themselves and improve their daily routines and livelihood opportunities.

Empowering Women Through Awareness

Such initiatives are essential in helping women take better care of themselves in their daily lives. Improving knowledge about menstruation, hygiene, and care not only supports physical health but also contributes significantly to emotional well-being and women’s livelihoods.

Access to menstrual health awareness helps women live healthier, more confident, and empowered lives. Your support can help create safe spaces where more women receive the knowledge, care, and encouragement they deserve.
